The 7th annual Violet Rippy 5K for Pulmonary Fibrosis will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017 on the North Shore Riverfront, Pittsburgh, PA.
In 2016, over 600 strong, walked or ran, to raise awareness and funds for the University of Pittsburgh Dorothy P. and Richard P. Simmons Center for Interstitial Lung Disease at UPMC in hopes of finding a cure for PF. With your help, over $175,000 has been raised from this event over the last six years.
This year, all proceeds from the Violet Rippy 5K for Pulmonary Fibrosis will once again go to the Simmons Center for research, education and awareness. Your kind support will allow the Simmons Center to continue to fund cutting-edge research.
All of us together can make a difference.
The Dorothy P. and Richard P. Simmons Center for Interstitial Lung Disease—About Us… The Simmons Center for ILD was opened in 2001 through a generous gift from the Simmons Family to study these scarring diseases. This center is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare, education and support for our patients, including those with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), as well as their caregivers and loved ones. All contributions from this event help to fund our patientcentered events and meetings.
